The World Cup always brings us amazing moments, but this one was really cool.
An influencer from Argentina, Valen Scarcini, decided to look into all of the World Cup players to see which one was the, quote, "least known".
He found New Zealand defender Tim Payne, who only had 4.5 thousand Instagram followers.
Valen encouraged his followers to help shine a light on Tim, and now he's over 1.8 million.
Tim even responded with a thank you video that Valen posted to his page using Duolingo to thank him in Spanish.
En espaol sigo practicando en Duolingo.
Just wanna say a massive thank you first to you, Valen.
it's been a pretty crazy 48 hours.
The crazy part is that Valen only has 605,000 followers himself.
Not the typical grassroots movement you usually see, but a pretty cool moment for Tim ahead of the World Cup.
Who's next?
