If you guys haven't noticed, he left.
Three or four straight days without tweeting, which is big for me, For Lane, unusual since he was on quite a tear all last week, tweeting Seemed like every hour and sort of what, whether he wanted to do it or not, Poking his own fan base and others' by his tweets.
Um, so I think in the meeting with Ole Mllers on Friday, I'm just going to guess here that there was a little bit of, You know, tone it down.
Um, then he carried that over.
At the press conference, they just shut it down, Right?
Not answering any questions about his future or Coaching or whatever, uh, at all.
And so, I think there was sort of an edict To Mr. Kiffin, look, you're gonna stay here, You're not signing; you haven't signed your contract.
Please stop poking the bears.
One of the things consistent about Kiffin that I've been told for years is That he genuinely does not know how to receive criticism.
He doesn't really, if you think about Lane as a sort of personality archetype, Part of what makes him so successful as an offensive play-caller.
A media figure is a sort of concentrated will and ego.
And so right now, I think what he's seen from folks I've talked to in the last three or four days is He's kind of shocked at the pushback.
He doesnt understand why people are upset, genuinely.
He kind of thought this would be more fun Will he?
Won't he sagas like he did in '22?
It's funny because I was talking to some rank and file LSU boosters yesterday, and theres Also a pretty significant concern, um, shared among LSU in Florida, Which is that one of us is gonna look like an idiot.
One of us is going to look terrible for this.
