Miami defeats Texas A&M, advances to CFP Quarterfinals

After weeks of speculation about whether Miami even belonged in the College Football Playoff, They answered that question loudly with a ten to three win over Texas A&M.
This was a defensive struggle, to say the least.
In fact, We didn't get our first touchdown of the game until there was only 1:44 left to play.
After a six-play, 86-yard drive, Malaki Tony, true freshman, Scores the touchdown that puts Miami ahead, and it looks like their defense just has to get A stop.
But not so fast, my friend.
Texas A&M drives all the way down the field, makes it dramatic.
And then, as time is running out, with a goal to go situation.
Marcel Reed commits his third turnover of the game.
Bryce Fitzgerald gets his second pick of the day, and all of a sudden, We have a win for Miami.
This was huge.
Again, Malaki Tony, Bryce Fitzgerald, those are two freshmen who were coming in and Contributing to a Miami team playing on the road in the College Football Playoff.
We talked so much about what home field would mean, and so far in this year's playoffs, It has meant absolutely nothing.
After weeks of trying to figure out who Should've been in Miami or Notre Dame, and frankly, countless conversations about whether The ACC belongs in the College Football Playoff at all.
It is the ACC that is advancing.
It is the ACC that will live to see another day.
As Miami will head to the Cotton Bowl, where they take on Ohio State.
