Tom Brady, even though the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported in January 2025 It's Tom's show now.

He managed to avoid the scrutiny and the criticism for the disaster that became the 2025 season, and now he's fully involved in it.

When they issued the press release announcing the firing of Pete Carroll, it was in there, "Tom Brady is gonna work in close collaboration with GM Jon Spytek."

And Now, Brady is free and clear.

School's out for him.

His Fox duties are over, so they're gonna make a good decision about who the head coach is.

Gonna be.

Joe Brady in the mix.

Davis Webb is lurking.

He's now available to be interviewed.

Potentially hired, since the Broncos' season is over.

They gotta make a decision about who their coach is gonna be.

And I thought it was very intriguing over the weekend when Brian Daboll's name came up.

Because if Brady is gonna be the one making this decision, I won't be surprised if he tries to tap into the Patriot Way.

And Brian Daboll won five rings as an assistant in New England.

Brady knows him well, and that would be kind of a safe end.

And continuous connection back to his playing days if they would go that route.

But that's gonna be key, and it's gonna be very revealing about Brady's interest.

And then the big question's gonna be, and this is true for every team.

Once the coaching carousel stops, the quarterback carousel spins.

Who will be the quarterback for the Raiders in 2026?

'Cause I have a feeling it's not gonna be the guy that the last coach wanted to bring in.

We mentioned Vegas.

We mentioned the Browns.

Two franchises that still have yet to hire a head coach.

How many of those vacancies do you think will be filled this week?

And which do you think is the first domino to fall?

Well, the question is whether or not anyone is gonna wait until after the Super Bowl for Clint Kubiak.

And, hey, Tom Brady may have decided yesterday from his perspective in the TV booth, watching what the Seahawks did.

I'm gonna wait for Clint Kubiak."

And we've seen that happen before.

We've seen teams wait.

We've seen the Colts wait.

And they thought they had Josh McDaniels, and they found out that they didn't.

So that's always a possibility.

The longer that these jobs are open, the greater the likelihood that they're waiting for someone to become available.

So what's it all mean for Clint Kubiak?

'Cause I feel like Clint's name is constantly be brought up for everybody as an option.

Where, where's he end up?

Well, I think it's gonna be the Raiders or nowhere, and like Grant Udinsky.

I think this is the year where, because there was no Ben Johnson.

There was no, "This is the guy.

This is the guy that's definitely gonna get a head coaching job," when we got into this cycle a couple of weeks ago.

Kubiak will be.

If he doesn't leave Seattle, he'll be a guy who hovers over the the season next year, and people will be saying, "And, and you know," It's all- I don't want to say it's all media-driven, but a lot of it is driven by how many shots of the guy in the booth or on the sideline during the games.

How much we're talking about the guy.

The owners become influenced by that, and the owners, they, they act like they do wide-open searches.

And they don't know who they're gonna hire.

I'd say for most of these jobs.

The moment they fire a guy, the owner knows who he or she wants to hire.

So if Kubiak doesn't end up leaving the Seahawks after this year, he's gonna be one of the A-listers as 2026 unfolds, along with Udinsky and, Of course, the guy that everybody's gonna be talking about is Mike Tomlin in 2026 if he chooses to coach in 2027.
