This is one of those that it, it feels like it's run its course, but it-- Mike Locksley and, and Luke Fickell actually kind of similar situations at the end of last year where you had the administration stand up and say, "Hey, we've not been resourcing these guys correctly."

Yeah.

"We're gonna give them more, and then we'll see what happens."

I know with Wisconsin they were telling the truth.

Okay.

Like, if you talk to agents and, and, and people in the personnel world, Wisconsin was spending money.

They had more money.

That was real.

I don't know about the s- that with Maryland.

I do know that, like, they got a five-star defensive end in their freshman class.

Like, they, they did-- they do have some players on the roster.

Malik Washington- Quarterback, yeah they kept at quarterback.

He was really good as a freshman last year.

But that's the question is, is can Mike Locksley do enough?

Because his buyout is, is at this point very low, and so if they just wanna make a change, it, it wouldn't be that hard.

Yeah.

Tough, obviously tough job.

I, I don't know if it's the toughest job in the Big Ten.

I guess there would be a couple of others that maybe that would-- you could argue.

But, really tough job.

And, and, you know, I think his buyout, you mentioned, Andy, I think it's around 9 or 10 million, so it's certainly doable.

I th- It, it seemed like they thought pretty seriously about doing it, last year, and then, you know, decided to, to swing their support behind him.

People, like, up here seem to love Locks.

Um- Yeah he, he's obviously from here.

Yeah.

How can you not?

Like, you talk to guys- I mean, people embrace him oh, sure.

It's the Gus Campbell effect.

Yeah I think a lot of people want him to win, you know?

Yeah.

They want him to win, and I think that's why he got another year, because they want it to work.

But I, you know, as somebody, again, just making calls on the hot seat stuff, and this question came up a lot when talking about jobs and people being fired, is who you gonna get that's better?

Or who you gonna get that fits more?

Who's out there?

What pool of coaches, are out there that is strong enough where you feel like you could fire the guy that everybody loves who's winning at l- at least sometimes six to seven games at a place like Maryland- Depends on the month and get someone better?

I don't know.
