Video Transcript
Wnba players just secured the bag.
A massive new CBA deal was reached at the buzzer, and the numbers are actually insane.
First, the money.
The salary cap is jumping from 1.5 million to $7 million.
The average player is going from making 120K to a projected 600K.
We are officially in the era of the millionaire WNBA star.
But why now?
The players opted out of the previous CBA in 2024 because the league's growth was outpacing their paychecks.
After 17 months of grinding and a hundred-hour final negotiation session, they finally got a meaningful share of the league's revenue, which is close to 20% across the length of the new CBA deal.
And it's not just cash.
We're talking professional-grade housing, better retirement, and parental leave.
So for now, the 2026 WNBA schedule is a go with the season kicking off May 8th.
Who's your preseason title favorite?
