I've seen some Notre Dame fans say, Hey, let's dissolve the relationship with the ACC.
Park our other sports in the Big East, like we used to.
And then just be a true independent.
I don't think that's feasible.
Theres an acknowledgment that you cannot operate wholly independent now that all are, Is pushing for 9-game conference slates inside mega conferences.
Its not about, oh, someones ducking the Irish, someone doesnt like the Irish.
There's a conspiracy against the Irish.
Guys, the dance card is just full across Power Four.
The problem is Notre Dame won.
To play Miami, probably in November.
They want to play Texas A&M, probably in October.
I'm sure they'd love to ramp up and play some of those other, easier teams they Played this year in September, but they can't, and that's a huge problem.
If you put them with the Big Ten teams or the SEC teams, You get games that will be considered respectable.
If you added Notre Dame, you'd have to face a reckoning with many SEC coaches and Ads want, which is a little bit of that breather, game stuck somewhere in November Before you go on the home stretch.
