Yeah, we had some good news.

Stammen knows he's inheriting a talented roster, but he quickly hinted that general manager A.J.

Preller is still looking to add pitching depth to the group of players that showed up for the start of spring camp.

A.J.

has always got something up his sleeve.

We've seen it in the years past.

We've signed Dylan Cease the day before we left for Korea.

We signed Nick Pivetta last year, Feb- middle of February, so, don't put anything past him.

And I know he's continually working and trying to, you know, fill out our roster and make it as best we can at the start of, opening day.

One big plus is the return of Joe Musgrove, who quickly took to the mound after missing all last season following Tommy John elbow surgery.

The Padres are also excited to see all-star reliever Jason Adam moving well and even throwing bullpens after going down with a serious knee injury last September.

There have also been changes around the Peoria Sports Complex, including renovations in and around the batting cages.

We also heard from the team's new bench coach and hitting coach about what they hope to bring to the table for Stammen and the team this season.

I just want to make him the best manager possible and, and well, my knowledge and, and of managing, and if I can help him in any way and be a, a sounding board for him.

What I'm gonna try and bring is controlling the zone, hammering mistakes, being able to make the pitcher do something different out there.

'cause when these guys put the ball in the barrel, it's hit hard, and it goes a long way, typically.

The Padres will hold their first official workout tomorrow, with the full squad reporting on Saturday, although several position players, including Jackson Merrill, Xander Bogaerts, and Ramn Laureano already in Peoria.

Kim?

so there's a little talk about adding pitchers.

Do you know anything?

Still some free agents on the market, like Zach Gallen and Chris Bassitt.

The Padres trying to get some prices to come down before they commit to free agency.

We'll see what happens.

Oh, boy.

Yeah.

I know you're watching it.

Yeah.

Thank you, Ben.
