I think it's brilliant.
I think it's absolutely brilliant, and if you're mad at it, you're just mad because your team's not doing it.
And, and look, I get it, but if it's within the realm of the rules, then do it.
Find every single advantage that you can find.
It- look, football is a game of inches, so if th- doing this on the video board gives you one inch of an advantage, you're gonna take it.
And that's the details that the New England Patriots were obsessed with, which were such a big part of their Super Bowl culture.
You know, did they win all of those Super Bowls because of this on the video board?
No.
They won it because of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman and all of those great Patriot teams.
But part of what made them so good, Tom Brady isn't stronger than everyone else and faster than everyone else and bigger than everybody else and doesn't have this physical advantage that nobody else in the NFL has or has ever had.
No.
Tom Brady was so great because he was obsessed with everything.
He was obsessed with what went into his body.
He was obsessed with his training regimen.
He was obsessed with his sleep schedule.
He was obsessed with what he listened to and read and the people that he talked to and the, th- what he surrounded himself with.
Every single detail mattered.
So I think that that, the video board, is just kind of a microcosm for the Patriots sniffing out every single advantage that they could find.
Now, the Patriots did try and sniff out some advantages that they could find against the rule book.
I, of course, am not advocating for that.
But as long as the rules allow for it, find the advantage and then take it
