Report: NBA finds no evidence that the Clippers circumvented the salary cap

We've got breaking news, folks.
ESPN has an update on the Clippers-Kawhi Leonard aspiration situation.
They wrote, "The NBA has found no evidence showing LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer funneled money through team sponsors to pay Kawhi Leonard in order to circumvent the salary cap."
They continued, "The league has presented no evidence that Ballmer funneled money to Leonard.
Instead, the NBA is focused on whether the team's introduction of Leonard to team sponsors constitutes a violation of the league's rules prohibiting salary cap circumvention."
And they also continued later on, "In recent days, both sides have been negotiating a resolution to the investigation, according to their sources."
But within an hour of this coming out on ESPN, the NBA released a statement pushing back against it strongly.
The NBA said, "ESPN's article regarding the LA Clippers investigation, for which the NBA declined to cooperate, contains numerous insignificant inaccuracies.
The results of this matter will be made clear once the investigation is concluded."
And so that NBA response came out within an hour of ESPN's piece dropping, which was written by Baxter Holmes, Ramona Shelburne, and Don Van Natta.
