I would like to tell everybody we told you so when the world's like, "Oh my God, he opted out."

Yeah, he opted out to sign this deal.

The Wizards going all in on four years of Trae Trae.

On target or on something?

I think they're on something.

Not on something to sign Trae Young longer term because you don't trade for Trae Young just to move on from him the next season.

But you're gonna be paying him $53 million a year.

That's the annual average value at least of this new deal.

So, you know, the dollars and cents might shake out differently, but essentially you're paying Trae Young north of $50 million a year.

Just months removed from Atlanta just basically dumping him.

Atlanta not even really demanding much in return.

Essentially just a salary dump.

That was not that long ago.

So Atlanta moved on from him for basically nothing because they just wanted to move on from him.

There was essentially no trade market for Trae Young outside of Washington, and now Washington feels the need to pay him $53 million a year?

Let's not forget, Jalen Brunson, Finals MVP, biggest reason why the Knicks won a championship, makes 39.

So Trae Young is now making 14 million more dollars a year than Jalen Brunson is making?

For an undersized guy who, look, great, great shooter no doubt, but doesn't play defense.

I don't know about all that
