This is also, uh, a game of firsts.
So let's highlight this because the US, Uh, did a few things they've never done before.
This again, this result is quite shocking.
So this is the first time the US MNT has scored.
4.5 versus any of the 8 World Cup-winning nations.
You know what?
You lose your World Cups.
Those, those are ours.
We get, we get at least one of those.
Right?
Well take 1930.
We finished 4th in 1930, so we came real close.
That's ours now.
Run that World Cup, bro.
That's ours now.
Uh, and also the first time the US MNT has Scored 4.5, uh, versus a top-15 team again, I mean, If, if obviously Uruguay's bicycle could go, Um, it was nice to see that.
It made it a little bit more.
Entertaining, I was, but it wasn't a thing where I was any more nervous.
Uh, the first half.
There was just complete control, and it it's weird to, to play against a Coma Bowl team that qualifies for the World Cup pretty much all Time, and they were making mistakes, loose touches, bad passes, Everything sort of worked defensively that made Uruguay a little bit uncomfortable.
The fight, the grit, the fouls, and they looked a little, I wouldnt say lost, but a bit like, oh, I didnt, I didn't know this was whom I was playing against.
They were a little surprised that they hit first, and the U.S. hit back.
And that's like, like, you don'tI, I don't think they expected that.
And I think, I mean, to be fair, you play this game 100 times, and maybe only once It ends up 5-1 to the U.S., right?
Isn't that a 4-goal gap between them?
These two teams, and I think part of it was, um, you know, After that first goal, the shoulder slumped a little bit for Uruguay and them, They just lost control of the game.
And, well, that's where you gotta give credit to the US for killing it on set pieces For the, the, you know, the second goal, Alex Freeman at the back post.
And then, um, the 3rd goal: Alex Freeman.
Well, first of all, Tim Tillmanwhat a tackle!
To start that, Right?
And then Alex Freeman and Austin Trusty played A 1-2 on the side of the box and Freeman dribbling, Ronald.
Uh, Alarjo, for he's a starter for Barcelona, and I think it was Betancourt that, That he, he dusted as well, like.
Uh, like, this was not on anybodys bingo card then.
