I, I wanna talk about Rashid Shaheed.
There's a few, receivers that are going very late in drafts that if I'm thin at receiver, and normally we've been attacking receiver pretty well from, like, round three to round six or seven, there's so many guys in that area that we like.
But if I do end up going in a different direction with my build and I feel like I need to grab a receiver or two late in drafts, Rashid Shaheed, 145 overall, wide receiver 52, just incredible value there.
And I think part of it is that people are looking at what he did with the Seahawks last season when he came over midway through the year, comes over at the trade deadline.
They just kinda have to get him learning the offense on the fly and figuring things out, and he still found ways to contribute.
A lot of it was on special teams, but didn't really emerge as, like, a consistent player in the offense.
All the talk this off-season is that he has had the full off-season to learn the offense, to get acclimated, and that they now view him as a much more consistent piece of their attack.
And I wanna remind people, like, this is a player that has definitely flashed before.
And consistency, when I say consistent, I'm talking about usage and him being out there more, potentially getting- Yeah more targets.
In fantasy, we don't necessarily need consistency.
We need the highs.
We're gonna have lows with receivers, we know that.
Even the best receivers, they have some bad weeks.
But if you look at what Rashid Shaheed has done in the past, like, you look back to even the first half of last season before he got traded when he was with the Saints, he was putting up wide receiver three flex numbers in that stretch.
If you go back to the year before, 2024, wide receiver 21 in fantasy points per game through five weeks before he got hurt.
The year before that, he posted six top 20 wide receiver fantasy finishes.
Like, he has showed us that he can do it, and not necessarily needing so much volume to do it.
He can give you three, four catches, come away with two long touchdowns, and he makes your fantasy week.
And where you're drafting him is basically a spot where you could put him into your lineup as a flex, and you have a guy that could give you that kind of, like, week-winning upside.
I think he's somebody that people should be a lot more serious about based on everything we've heard about OTAs.
Sounds very positive.
You look at the other options in this passing attack behind JSN, there's not that much to get excited about.
We like Torrey Horton, but Torrey Horton's coming off of a, a pretty bad injury, season-ending.
We don't know what he's gonna look like out there.
He's back on the field, but is he gonna be the same player?
They're making plays in camp, so He is, but is he gonna be the same player that we saw flash last year?
And even though he flashed, he found the end zone a bit, he still has a long way to go before he's proving himself.
Sure.
Cooper Kupp, 33 years old, he only topped 50 yards once after Shaheed got there, so not really concerned about Cooper Kupp in this offense.
There is a spot for Shaheed to have a meaningful role
