When it comes to WNBA, players have to wear Nike sneakers, but there are a few exceptions to the rule.

One of those being a player can wear 9 Nike shoes, but only if they have a brand deal with an authorized footwear supplier.

That's why.

Plumb can wear her Under Armour shoes, and the same goes for Andre Rees when she wears her Reebok.

Another exception is if a player signs a deal with a non-approved brand, they can still wear those shoes, but that brand's logos can't even be shown.

So if players don't have their own shoe deal, they have to wear the league's main footwear provider, which is Nike.
