Is the 2026 NBA Rookie Class the Best in Years? Acuff, Boozer and More Are Rolling

Two weeks in, the 2026 NBA rookie class is beating the hype. Sacramento's Darius Acuff Jr. leads all rookies at over 26 points per game and has posted a 34-point, 14-assist night. Golden State's Yaxel Lendeborg, the No. 11 pick, is scoring over 21 a game on 50% shooting. Chicago's Caleb Wilson is averaging nearly 22, and Memphis's Cameron Boozer leads rookies in rebounding and already has a triple-double. Top two picks AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson haven't hit their stride yet, so the Rookie of the Year race could go down to the wire.
