After a breakout preseason performance, rookie Jordan James emerges as the physical, high-upside solution to lighten Christian McCaffrey's heavy workload and keep the veteran superstar fresh.

I believe so, Vish.

I, I think that's probably the smartest thing to do.

Look, Kittle's gonna be a guy who's gonna wanna get on the field, but I do think that he understands how important he is to the entire season, and being ready for the entire season.

And missing one game isn't going to kill the 49ers.

And if this game was played at SoFi, he probably plays.

It's just this, you can't put him through all of that travel and everything, and, and I think that that's smart.

Good afternoon, Jacob.

Good to see you, buddy.

Charlene says, "CMC healthy mean we sit Kittle for week one?"

I think that that's smart as well too.

Vish also says, "Good, good news though, getting players back today."

Yeah, and, and we have to, we have to cover a bunch of that stuff, you know, in terms of who was back at practice today and who wasn't.

But obviously, getting Kittle back at practice, and Christian McCaffrey, that's something that we should talk about too, because he did speak to the media and shed a little bit more light on what was going on and what the thought process was.

Jacob is, is feeling how I'm feeling.

"Screw the Rams.

Smart move without question, but screw them."

Yeah, 100%.

You know how it is over here.

Appreciate that.

If you're on the YouTube app and it allows you, please hype all of that stuff.

It helps us get seen in the algorithm.

So the other news is Christian McCaffrey is in uniform and on the practice field as well.

A team returns to practice, as the team returns to practice on Sunday, we'll see his level of participation as it goes.

More news, Deommodore Lenoir and D'Andre Stribling are back in practice after missing Saturday with shoulder issues.

Lenoir in a blue no-contact jersey, Stribling in a black one.

Just get them ready for week one at this point.

No reason to be worried about that at all or, or think anything other than just, you know, getting them ready.

And as far as what Christian McCaffrey did, Christian McCaffrey did a fair amount in practice, including individual drills and reps in team, even got a handful of carries.

This is excellent, excellent news.

Excellent news.

As far as George Kittle goes, George Kittle easing back into his first day back to practice, was in uniform and participating, but worked on the side during team drills.

Look, him being even considered for week one is nothing more- short of a miracle.

But there's no reason to start pushing things, especially with the, the time that you have off.

And I thought it was really important to, to note something.

After week one, when the 49ers get back from Australia, they have 10 days in between their next game.

So that extra rest has to be into account with what they're gonna do.

I am predicting that he's not gonna make it for week one.

I could be wrong.

I, you know, I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again.

But I just think when you think about the travel, when you think about the rest, it just feels smart.
