Aaron Rai to receive first-ever Rory McIlroy award at BMW PGA Championship
Aaron Rai is the winner of the first-ever Rory McIlroy award and is set to receive it at the BMW PGA Championship, it's given to the best player on the DP World Tour in terms performance at the major championships.

Well, on the strength of your victory at the PGA Championship, you're gonna be the first-ever recipient of the Rory McIlroy Award, given to the best player on the DP World Tour in terms of their major championship performance.
He will hand you that award at the BMW PGA in September.
What's your reaction to being the first recipient of this award?
Absolutely incredible.
I mean, Rory is, he's a legend of the game already, and he's still got a lot of incredible years ahead of him.
To have an award honored in his name is, is a huge thing, and, to have an award that rewards such high performance in our four biggest events in the sport, is fitting for his stature in the game.
But on, on a personal level, for me to be the first recipient of that award, means a great deal to me.
It's a huge honor, and, and yeah, something I'm, I'm really looking forward to at the BMW PGA Championship.
