Let's talk about AJ Fury.
Yesterday we spent, like, 45 minutes going through the past week.
This was some kind of drama with this email being leaked and Eddie going on.
I mean, this is crazy, man.
This is crazy stuff, and they're trying to move it to MSG November 20th, and Netflix is involved, and you've got TKO, and obviously Zuhfah Boxing, and Dana White, and Eddie and Matchroom.
And man, I'm dying to know what you make of all of this and, and who's in the right, who's in the wrong, how it's playing out, and where it ultimately lands.
Well, there's too many cooks in the kitchen, first and foremost.
There are too many egos at this table.
You just mentioned a few there.
Can you imagine trying to arrange something when you've got the egos of Eddie, and Dana, and sort of Nick Khan, Netflix, AJ, Fury, Turkey?
I mean- this, this was, this was never gonna be easy to, to sort out.
I think everyone just assumed, yeah, they're gonna click fingers and it's gonna be arranged.
No, no, no, no.
There was always gonna be a problem.
Eddie and AJ seem to be sticking with, "We signed up for the fight to be in the UK, it has to happen in the UK."
Obviously us in the UK like the idea of it, but it's almost got to a point with me where I'm like, "Just have the fight anywhere."
Yeah.
Like, it's got to a stage now where I do not care.
I, I've been waiting for this fight for over a decade, and every time we feel like we're close, there's another hurdle, another obstacle, another bridge is being built.
I think fight fans in the UK are like, we, we're getting tired of it.
You know, both guys aren't at their best.
This isn't like Pacquiao-Mayweather where Mayweather was pound for pound number one and Pacquiao had a belt.
We understand that both guys are right at the end.
We shouldn't be waiting this long for two guys right at the end of their careers.
And for once, I almost agreed with Dana White as well.
I saw Dana White do something at one of the, UFC events, post a UFC event, and he almost seemed fed up with it as well.
Like, you guys are gonna get paid 100 million, can we just make the fight happen?
Like, what is happening?
I don't mind the idea of AJ and Eddie sticking to their guns, saying the UK, but ultimately you've allowed Turkey to come in.
Turkey's saying he's paying for it.
If Turkey's paying for it, he puts it on wherever he wants.
I mean, Eddie and Frank have had nearly a decade of putting this together without the influence of Turkey.
You've now allowed Turkey to come in, and if I'm Turkey, I do what I want with this fight because ultimately I'm paying all the big bucks.
So if Turkey wants it in New York because it will help Netflix numbers, then it's gotta be New York.
It, it's gotta be New York, and I do think the Brits will travel.
But it is a shame to have two of the biggest British boxing stars of all time, like with By the way, with a gap to Fur, like- Yeah the number one and number two by some distance not fighting in a packed out Wembley Stadium.
That's a shame.
