well, I, I think the Benson contract ties into Alex Tuch's contract situation because they have plenty of cap space, but there are clearly, in my mind, is there is a structure there that nobody is gonna make more than Rasmus Dahlin at $11 million.
And I don't think that they wanna pay Alex Tuch 10.7, 10.8 million, which would be around what Adrian Kempe made, and that's what he supposedly he's been looking for.
I'm sure the Sabres are gonna try to wanna get Zach Benson on the same deal that they got Josh Doan on, was a-- which was a little over seven million bucks.
But with the cap going up to 104 million, I think they're whistling past the graveyard.
I think that Za-Zach Benson's gonna wanna get paid.
He's im- he's improved every year.
He's, in a, been a playoff performer.
I think he's probably a 50, 60, 65-point guy, and he's gonna expect to be paid accordingly.
So they're not gonna get off cheap.
I don't think they're gonna be able to pay him on a, on a bridge deal.
I think that he-- that they're gonna wanna get him on as long as ter- a term as possible, and if they do that, they're gonna have to pay him.
But I think it also factors into what happens with Alex Tuch
