Did you hear that?

What am I s- I gotta How I, how I gonna run now?

Hold that.

That's a wrap.

World record sort of treatment.

Yeah, that's different.

I wasn't used to it, you know.

Now I'm- Were you feeling world record tonight coming in?

Being honest with you, I felt like throughout the whole season, you know.

I feel like today I was able to execute and put it all, like the whole work we are doing.

Thank you.

Appreciate that.

But, like, I was showing previous race that I was fast, that I was strong, and today was just, like, was just the day, you know.

As my style's been saying, like, the whole season, as a sprinter, you can't plan the world record.

You can't say like, "Oh, I'm gonna break it that day."

But you know how you're feeling, you know the shape you are, and just, just special.

Just amazing.

Did the crowd help?

Oh, amazing.

You know, it was packed.

You know, like, trying to get a ticket here was wild.

It's been a while that it sold out.

So just, like, I knew that the crowd here would be amazing, the energy, the vibe, the whole stadium, and finally, the weather was good over here.

You know, the weather was able to help.

So good track, good people, good stadium, good weather.

You know what that brings.

World record.

You've had a great year.

Is, is your confidence been growing in the last year or so?

Or- Yes you've always had it?

Yes.

The, the confidence was growing for the hair, you know?

So just like, that's why I was l- letting it grow, and I think the preparation was really good.

You know, like, the previous season I was feeling great, but this season I was feeling my more mature.

I was feeling that, like, I understood what I could do better and what I need to do to be better, you know.

And I was able to improve everything that I need.

I got stronger, I got faster, I got like, you know, able to hurdle better and do everything that I need to get to this day and break the world record.

Will you do- Allison Sorry, go ahead Allison, it's hard for you.

You came into this race as a world leader.

You're leaving this race as a world record holder.

You've been dominating all season.

What made this season, and particularly this race, so different for you?

So the feeling of missing out last year, and also 2021, that's two things that, like, I, I, I was thinking about before running because 2021 I ran 46.7, and that was faster than the previous world record, but I was third, and that was painful.

Just know that, like, I broke a world record, but two guys ran faster than me the same day was annoying, and I was like, "Yo, the next time that I break a world record, I gotta make sure I cross the line first."

And I was able to do that today.

Just come out here, run some 45, and show that we're in great shape.

You broke the world record with the world record, former world record holder with you.

Is this like a poetic moment for you?

Did you make a statement with that run?

I think so.

I feel like break a world record, no matter how, is amazing, but, like, do it with Karsten there was different, you know.

Because we cool, and we know he's a great guy, and he just, like, lead us the way, show that 45 was possible, and we just came along.

We're just improving, getting better, running faster, and just be able to break a wor- world record the same race of him was awesome and just share the moment in a way.

'Cause I was there when he ran 45, and he was here when I ran 45, so that's awesome.

Allison, was there any point in that race where you thought, "Yeah, this is on"?

Yeah.

Which point?

When I was, like, standing before the blocks, I knew I was ready.

I knew I had it in me.

Like, the warm-up was really good, and my coach, he doesn't like to watch in the stadium.

He get more nervous than us.

And today before I come to the track, I was like, "Yo, trust me.

Just go watch the race in the stadium.

You're gonna enjoy the experience."

And he was there, so it was awesome because we knew we were ready.

We knew we had it in, in us to do the time, to do the race, and I was just able to execute.

And last one for you.

You've been so consistent in that 46 kind of mid to low range this year.

Tonight, what was the main difference, do you think?

I think it was like I was able to execute properly.

You know, Silesia, we knew we were in good shape.

The track was amazing as well.

The energy was awesome.

But the race wasn't that good.

I did pretty much, like, the whole race with the wrong leg.

I did, like, with the right leg and not my left leg.

So after seeing that time, ran 46.4 doing everything wrong, I was like, "Okay, we're cooking."

You know, we have something special in the tank, and today I was able to ex- execute properly and do everything right.

At what point in this race did you, like, confirm to yourself, "Oh, I'm doing something special"?

I had in my mind that, like, I need to feel fast and strong in the fourth hurdle and feel that, like, I'm ahead of everybody.

No matter if K- Karsten was in the lane before, ahead of me, I need to be ahead in the fourth hurdle so then I gonna have the push at the end.

And once I got that hurdle, I was like, "Okay, this race is mine.

The world record is what I aiming for, so let's get it."

When did you think that the world record was in your grasp?

At what point in the season?

I think after the first competition, not gonna lie to you.

After China doing the 300, I was like, "Okay, we're training heavy.

We're doing a bunch of, like, you know, tempo runs, not, like, really doing t- much of speed," and being able to run, like, 33.0, doing, like, some hurdles wrong, I was like, "Okay, we're cooking with that."

And then we running 46 so consistently, just, like, hitting 46.4, 46.4, 46.6, like, okay, we just building to it, and when the day arrive, we're gonna do it.

Allison, we know Ry's actually been doing the flats most of his season.

What are you expecting 400 hurdles to go once he's back racing with you guys, for example, at Ultimates?

Nothing will change.

I'll keep doing my best.

I'll keep running fast.

I'll keep doing my thing, and we all do- trying the same.

We all trying to be better.

We all trying to improve.

He's doing his thing in the 400 right, right now.

He gonna do the b- double in the Ultimate.

We're just trying our best.

Thank you, guys.

Thanks, Allison Thank you
