They have not.
They pretty much stood pat.
I mean, they, Arvidsson left, and they replaced him with JJ Peterka, who is a younger, better version in terms of scoring, but not as good defensively as Arvidsson.
They added Will Borgen on the blue line.
They, they're gonna go with Michael DiPietro as the backup instead of Unis Corpicello.
So they made sort of, I mean, I think DiPietro could be better than Corpicello, but remember, that increase from, that 12-win increase was because Jeremy Swayman had a bad year two seasons ago, and Charlie McAvoy was hurt at Four Nations, and they dropped like a stone at the end of the year.
They're really depending on a lot of youngsters like Fraser Mitten to take a next step.
He's not a number one center.
He's probably a number three, but he could take a next step.
They're hoping James Hagans comes into the lineup and scores.
But their problem and where they need to add is where everybody needs to add, and it's almost impossible to get.
They're not strong up the middle.
They have players who can play center, but Elias Lindholm hasn't lived up to the expectations of the free agent contract.
Pavel Zacha had a 30-goal season.
Morgan Geekie had a 39-goal season.
I don't know if I expect those players to reach those marks again.
So the, I think by standing pat or basically doing a little, they're falling back.
Yeah, you had, like you said, a couple years ago, Swayman took a step back.
McAvoy was injured, and then now y- you have sort of outlier performances this past season, like Geekie, not to take anything away from him, but I don't know that you necessarily, count on him to replicate that kind of production
