Analyzing Top SEC Contenders for the National Championship
Exploring the SEC elite—Texas, Georgia, LSU—as they vie for the national championship title. Lane Kiffin has sworn off social media; how does that affect LSU?

The national championship thing, it's a real, it's a real situation.
Do you see, Bill, like you have Texas, you have Georgia, A&M, Ole Miss, maybe LSU.
I mean, how There, there was a time where you'd look and like, hey, of the top eight teams, you could make an argument the SEC would have four of them.
But I don't Who are the teams in the SEC this year that you think are, like, truly not just get in the playoff and make some noise, but, like, legitimate viable national championship contenders?
Well, I think Texas and Georgia will be the two that you look at.
Georgia, nothing to prove.
I mean, they've won back-to-back SEC championships.
They've got Gunner Stockton back.
I think one of the pressure points obviously with them is, you know, they, they lose a quarterfinal game the last two years, and last year it came to, down to some bad coaching decisions, which is very rare, but that's what happened with Ole Miss.
So there's some pressure there.
Texas has a loaded roster.
They really do offensively, defensively, and, Sark will be on the podium obviously today.
And, and then the wildcard team, and I wrote about him this morning, Lane Kiffin and LSU.
You know, you bring in 40 players from the portal, you don't know how that's gonna fit.
He talked at length this morning that he was off social media, which was the real upset of the day- since May 11th.
But you know what?
I, I looked this up.
Y- the timing was the Vanity Fair article that, you know, where, where there was some controversy in the article and of course he gets off social media that day.
I was like, "That was probably a good time to do that."
we'll see if it lasts, but I, I do know that he has become, believe it or not, like the center of attention, I think, in the SEC, which because you had Heupel and Kirby and, Pete Golding talking about him before he even got on the podium.
So he's certainly the center of attention in that conference right now, and I think he's gonna have plenty of detractors that are gonna be rooting for him to lose.
Yeah.
For I, I think it's a very smart move on their part taking social media out of the picture for him 'cause now you're getting to the football part of it.
It was fun back in February whenever we're getting on here talking about all of his antics, all of his stuff on Twitter and whatnot, but now, like, you gotta get real.
Like now football is officially around the corner.
You don't wanna have all that attention on you.
You wanna talk about your players.
You wanna talk about the season upcoming, especially with that Ole Miss game starting off the year.
So I, I think it's a smart move on his part.
It sucks though.
I enjoy seeing all the antics he gets into, but now that football's here, like it's time to talk about like what's on the field
