Congratulations on that.
Before you could get your fourth or a chance at it, you were pinch-hit for.
The guys in the booth want to know, was that conversation tense, anger filled, or understanding on your part?
No.
Y- K- Kirill came in, drew a walk.
He's, come up in s- so many big situations this year for us, and, I got all the utmost confidence in the world in him.
So, you know, a, a competitor always wants to hit, but, you know, when you have people like him coming off the bench to hit for you, it, you, you can't say anything about it, 'cause we just have so many, so many weapons and so many, options.
And it, it's a good team to be a part of.
Three different varieties of doubles too.
You w- a shot to the opposite field, you had a little blooper, and then you had one that goes off the second baseman's glove and drives in two runs.
Which is your favorite of those three varieties?
Probably the one with the runs, just to, you know, provide for my team.
Yeah, I had a little luck on my side today, but that's part of baseball.
I'm sure I'll hit a, hit a laser, sometime next week for an out, so it's, it's all part of the game.
Your first year, but do, does this clubhouse feel at all tied to the 300 lost seasons before?
Does it feel like that's something you have to overcome, or is that detached from this club?
I, I would say it's detached.
You know, you know, coming up through the system, it was, you know, we want pl- we want the other team to, walk away from saying, "Dang, we, we, we played, they played really hard, and they left it all out there."
And now it's kind of that, that, that same motto, but, "Dang, they really play hard and, and, and they kicked our ass too."
So, just trying to do all that and, just, just play the game that we love and, and play it, play it with all we got.
