Atlanta Dream Blame WNBA for 12:30 p.m. Finals Game 6 Scheduling Conflict

The Atlanta Dream are blaming the WNBA for a scheduling conflict that pushed Game 6 of the Finals to a 12:30 p.m. ET Thursday tip at State Farm Arena. The team says it raised concerns two months ago, when playoff dates were set, and repeated them during the playoffs. In a letter to fans, the Dream wrote that those concerns "did not receive the attention nor the urgency they deserved." The arena was already booked for Hawks games Wednesday and Thursday, and Golden State's Game 4 win tied the series and left Atlanta without a confirmed venue. The smaller 3,500-seat Gateway Center Arena was one alternative. The league did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
