Hey, Nicholas Moriano here from Roundtable Sports.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, he's like a lot of people.
He's on social media.
You'll constantly see him liking posts, retweeting things, whatever it may be.
But he's also someone that does see the hate, does see the critics, and isn't afraid to acknowledge them.
There was a latest incident here where on Jordan Schultz's show, The Schultz Report, he was with Keyshawn Johnson, former wide receiver in the NFL, and Schultz asked Johnson to rank Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake May, and he went, Keyshawn Johnson, entitled to his opinion, went Jayden Daniels, Drake May, then Caleb in, in third place.
Now, Schultz then asked Keyshawn, like, what, why the reasoning was the way that he put it, where Caleb was third amongst those quarterbacks from the 2024 draft class.
And in his response, paraphrasing here, he mentioned that he wants to see Caleb not repeat the same mistakes that he made.
He mentioned turnovers and just not having those same mistakes now that he's entering year two in Ben Johnson's offense.
Now, Caleb Williams, he liked that Instagram reel, and that's not, I think, for Caleb, that's not unusual.
He will see some of these comments.
He will hear what people are talking about him, and he will acknowledge it.
And he's someone that isn't shying away from any of the criticism or the critiques that he gets online.
If anything, most likely just uses it as fuel for himself as he goes into his third season in the NFL.
Now, Caleb Williams also isn't someone that turns over the ball a bunch, right?
He's not someone who throws a lot of interceptions, hasn't shown that in his first season in the NFL and even in the second.
So with a more, a better, I should say, better understanding of this offense, I, I expect Caleb Williams to still be that aggressive downfield thrower, but also as somebody that is still careful with the football.
I think this last playoff run for Caleb, where he threw three interceptions against the Rams, he threw some interceptions against the Packers, that's not who Caleb was throughout the regular season.
So let's see what Caleb Williams can do now going into year two of Ben Johnson's offense, as he has a more and just better foundation of everything that's going on around him, his playmakers, his head coach, and what he can do this upcoming season.
