Bears QB Caleb Williams Hears the Haters and Uses Them as Fuel
Caleb Williams has plenty of haters, and the Chicago Bears' quarterback embraces what he sees and hears on social media.

For today's video, we look into the recent interview that Caleb Williams was on with Pardon My Take with Big Cat and PFT Commenter on just basically the 2025 season, how Caleb Williams handles haters, and that's where we're gonna really get into for today's video because when Caleb Williams was asked whether or not he acknowledges or even sees the haters, the doubters online, he simply said that he does and that he doesn't need them, but it's always a little extra belief in himself, a little extra confidence.
It's a little bit more to add to what he does on a daily basis as a, the Chicago Bears quarterback.
He also said this, "It's all these things combined, and it just throws a little bit of gas onto the fire, and all you need is a little bit."
And for Caleb Williams, he's been known to not only see and hear things that people are saying about him online, whether it's random social media accounts or analysts in the national media, but he'll actually engage and go on his own social media and talk back to those that are saying things about him.
One of the more memorable ones from the 2025 season happened after the Bears' 25 to 24 victory over the Washington Commanders, where Troy Aikman, the Hall of Fame quarterback and color analyst for Monday Night Football, described essentially D'Andre Swift's 55-yard touchdown reception.
He used the word luck was involved, and Caleb Williams took exception to that, and in a carousel of images that he posted on his Instagram, he put the caption, "It was luck, TA," TA standing for Troy Aikman.
So Caleb Williams isn't shy to use his own social media to go back at certain people or to even acknowledge and say that he does see the comments and does see the haters, but it's not something that he really takes too much into account other than maybe using it for fuel every now and then.
But one thing that always gets brought up with Caleb Williams is his completion percentage, 58.1 last season, was lowest, was one of the lower completion percentages among starting quarterbacks, but he even had a message for the doubters who bring that up.
He said, "I throw the ball away the most to try and keep us in advantageous positions," Williams said.
He also knows that just having three downs instead of four, he's, he's comfortable with that because he knows his coach, Ben Johnson, will be willing to go for it on fourth down.
So he's not too concerned with what people have to say, and he does wanna get that completion percentage up because this is what he said about that.
"We'll get it up this year just to shut everybody up and help everybody to understand."
Caleb Williams most likely is gonna have more haters going forward, especially with his recent success, and knowing him, he'll use that as fuel or engage with random people online because that's how he approaches it and doesn't let him get affected by what others have to say.
