Kyle Monangai Runs for 146 and Two TDs as Bears Sit D'Andre Swift
Kyle Monangai carried 30 times for a career-best 146 yards and two touchdowns after D'Andre Swift lost a third-quarter fumble and never returned in the Chicago Bears' 23-12 win over the New York Jets. Swift was not injured and finished with 15 carries for 58 yards. His turnover handed the Jets a short field that led to a field goal. Coach Ben Johnson praised Monangai's spark but did not call it a benching, and he would not promise Swift his usual role, saying roles are decided during the week of practice. Both backs have topped 300 rushing yards through four games, which no Bears pair had done before.
