One of the best players in NFL and Pittsburgh Steelers history is tired of the Aaron Rodgers waiting game.
Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, the eleven-time Pro Bowler who played ten seasons with the Steelers, told Rich Eisen that he is sick and tired of Aaron Rodgers waiting to decide whether he's gonna play next season.
Here's what Rod Woodson said, quote, "Is he gonna play?
Listen, I get kinda tired of it.
Listen, if he's gonna play, say he's gonna play, he's gonna come back, and the team shouldn't wait for Aaron Rodgers.
They need to move forward."
Rodgers, forty-two years old.
he's an unrestricted free agent right now.
he hasn't announced whether he's gonna retire or play another season.
the Steelers are currently waiting for him to decide what he's gonna do, because if Rodgers is gonna play next season, he'll be the Steelers' starting quarterback.
If he retires or goes to another team, the Steelers will need to either sign a quarterback, trade for a quarterback, or draft one in the draft.
the Steelers won the AFC North last season but lost to the Texans in the Wild Card round.
Rodgers had twenty-four passing touchdowns and three thousand three hundred and twenty-two passing yards with the Steelers last season.
Rodgers is open to playing for Mike McCarthy again.
McCarthy, of course, is replacing Mike Tomlin, who stepped down after a legendary run in Pittsburgh.
Aaron Rodgers moves to his own beat.
He, he doesn't care what people think about him, so he is going to announce his decision to play whenever he wants to play, and we have no idea when that's gonna be.
But hopefully, for the Steelers, he announces it before the draft, so that the Steelers know if they have to draft a quarterback or not.
