George Payton, similar to VJ, the first part of his tenure didn't really start very well.

He's always been very good in the draft, but he made some poor decisions when it came to personnel, coaches that he's hiring.

You know, Randy Gregory in terms of-- as an example of some free agents that you're gonna sign.

But one thing I really respected about George Payton is that when he felt like he made a mistake, he moved on, and that's, that's the-- one of the most important things that you can do really in inter-- any leadership ro-role, but especially as a GM.

You don't let your ego get in the way and say, "We're riding or dying with this guy."

Hey, it didn't work out.

We made a mistake.

We move on.

He did that with Hackett, s-firing him, you know, less than He didn't even give him the, the entire year to, to, you know, to complete after, I think, just fifteen games.

but he did it also with, with, with Randy Gregory.

He did it with, some other free agents and other coaches that he had hired, and that takes a lot.

That takes a lot of pride to swallow.

he also did it once they, once they cut, Russell Wilson, right?

They, they decided to eat the eighty-eight million dollars in cap hit.

But he just traded two first-round picks for the guy a couple seasons before, paid him a big extension.

That you gotta respect, and it, it's all led to really good things, right?

Because instead of staying in football purgatory where we've been for so long, you know, where you're picking in the middle of the first round and all of that, you're now able to take that next step of being able to go out there and make the, the right moves, and that's exactly what he's done.

And I think him and Sean have a really great working relationship.

They obviously do, and so it's gonna be fruitful.

It's gonna be interesting to see, do we extend him and what continues on to go from there.

But, but awesome job from George Payton.

So it's been wonderful.

And, you know, it-- there's so many different things that go into success of an organization.

It's not just talent and, and really good players.

I mean, obviously that's extremely important, and we went from being rated one of the worst rosters, thirty-first out of thirty-two teams from a roster standpoint, to being one of the better rosters in the NFL and very, very deep at a lot of positions and
