A guy who has played for a long time with the New Orleans Saints, and at times he has been the best player on the field.
That playoff game when Minnesota went to New Orleans and won in overtime, 2019 season.
Yeah.
Taysom Hill was the best player on the field that day- Yeah for either team.
They just didn't use him as much as they should have.
But he's been jack of all trades.
He said goodbye to New Orleans last week.
He's not ending his career.
The Broncos will explore signing him.
Chris, this feels like Sean Payton doing Taysom Hill a solid, because he's been available to anyone since March.
That's what's so strange about this.
All of a sudden we're talking about Taysom Hill because he posted a farewell to New Orleans last week.
He's been a free agent and no one's brought up his name, and that kind of tells you where it stands right now.
For as great as he was, he'd be in a camp right now if somebody saw that Taysom Hill could still do what he's done for the past several years.
Right, yeah, he's getting up there, and he's got some wear and tear on his tires.
He, he's been beat up.
We, we, you saw that.
I mean, he's, he's been a little injured.
He played a physical brand of football, you know, no matter what position he played.
But, but I'm not shocked to hear that about Sean Payton.
You know, Taysom Hill can fill a lot of roles with your football team.
You know, he can do a lot of different things on the offense.
Little- Why didn't you sign him in March?
I, I Yeah, well, you know, there's still, there's still guys out there.
I mean, Stefon Diggs is out there too.
Should we not sign him 'cause he was there in March?
I mean, you know- Oh it just, it, it takes some time.
People figure out their team a little bit.
They start to realize and go, oh, wait, you know, hey, this little element- Different circumstance or skill set could help out the team a little.
You know, his trickeration ability as well, his ability to throw adds another element to the offense when he's on the football field.
You have to worry about that.
Of course, you know, that and the wildcat.
You know, he's always, Sean Payton, looking for little guys that can do some different stuff, so not surprised to hear he's at least doing his research on it.
Right, but m- my point is this: If there was a sense that there's gonna be a demand for this guy, you get him in March.
There hasn't been a demand for him, and his situation is very different from Stefon Diggs' situation, and I would think the Broncos would've already had him there for the off-season program, especially if you're gonna be doing gadget plays and different things.
You wanna get that installed and properly understood before you get to the season.
But we'll see what happens.
We'll see what happens.
Taysom Hill's been underrated and underutilized.
He could've been, I think, a bigger star than he was.
He just never really got the full complement of reps in any one posi-
