Browns QB Deshaun Watson Wants Answer on Starting Job ASAP
Following a dismal preseason showing and a public clash with fans, the embattled veteran pressures Cleveland Browns HC Todd Monken to name a leader before locker room chemistry further unravels.

Really easy for the Cleveland Browns to start Deshaun Watson, given his contract and what the team put into him.
Obviously, they don't want him to go to another team next year and embarrass them by playing, well on another program.
Well, one of the arguments to, to start Watson over Shador Sanders is that Shador Sanders might be young.
Some around the league might say that he's immature.
But-- and that he could be a distraction for the team.
But Deshaun Watson really undermined that argument on Saturday, when speaking to reporters when he instigated the Cleveland Browns fan base, calling them out for, you know, booing him, but also their actions when he suffered an Achilles injury in, in, in twenty twenty-four and, arguing that, that he might not be able to mend the relationship with the Browns fan base.
And so it makes it hard, for them to make him a starter.
With that being said, Watson would like to know as soon as possible if he or Sanders is gonna be the starter.
Thinks that that would be better for the team overall to have somebody working with the offense to get in rhythm, before their regular season starts against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September thirteenth.
Watson also said that he doesn't really keep-- he doesn't have his hopes up that he will be the starter.
Was kind of honest about that.
So interesting, interesting comments by, by Watson during his, his post-game, press conference on Saturday
