Caitlin Clark comes off the bench for Team USA .
Not that I care, you know, obviously, you, you've got players who have been there and done that before and veteran leadership and seniority being rewarded in that aspect.
It's not a problem as long as Team USA is winning, but make no mistake about it, Caitlin Clark is the best player on this USA squad.
That was apparent.
The second that she checked into the game, she picked up the pace, she picked up the playmaking, she led the team in assists.
She was tied for the team lead in scoring.
That's after she led the US squad in total points and total assists in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers coming off the bench, coming off of injury.
I believe she had the first-ever 10+ assists game with no turnovers or the most assists with no turnovers in World Cup history for the US.
The only player with a double-double in the game.
And it's that playmaking prowess that sets her apart.
We all know Caitlin.
Clark can hit the deep threes, which she did in this game.
We all know Caitlin Clark can score, but no one sees the floor better than she does, and no one picks apart a defense better than she does.
And with the talent that she has around her on Team USA, you're going to have to keep counting those assists, and in this case, they came with no turnovers, so the haters really have nothing to work with.
And that was Caitlin Clark in that debut in the super sub role for Team USA.
