Caleb Williams Making Sure No One Forgets This Promising Bears Rookie
While stars Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet dominate the spotlight, Chicago's quarterback is hyping up a powerhouse rookie as the secret weapon.

Outside of Caleb Williams, one of the most exciting players to watch on the Bears last season was rookie tight end Colson Loveland.
He ended up leading the team with seven hundred and thirteen receiving yards and six touchdowns, and his, great play continued into the postseason as he had a incredible performance against Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card, finishing with a hundred and thirty-seven receiving yards in that thirty-one-twenty-seven comeback win.
Loveland is, obviously the, receiving tight end in the tight end room for the Bears, but, then there is Cole Kmet, who although he is used more, as a blocker, he, became a valuable asset in the red zone last season, so he has plenty of things to add to the room as well.
Caleb Williams went on a recent, episode of New Heights with Travis and Jason Kelce, and they talked about just how incredible the tight end room is in Chicago with Kmet and Loveland obviously being the focus.
But Williams wanted to remind everybody that they have a rookie that is coming up who is just as exciting.
Williams was obviously talking about Stanford tight end Sam Roush, who the Bears took in the third round of the twenty twenty-six NFL Draft.
In college, he proved that he can obviously help out as a receiver, finishing with five hundred and forty-five receiving yards and two touchdowns in his final year with the Cardinal.
But at six foot five and two hundred and sixty pounds, Roush can definitely help out as a blocker as well and is absolutely next in line to, fill Kmet's role if the Bears decide to move on from him once his contract expires in twenty twenty-eight.
It'll be interesting to see how much playing time Roush receives as a rookie, but if the Bears keep lining up in twelve or thirteen-man personnel, which we know they like to do based on what, we saw last season, and it'll-- as it definitely will continue this year, he could see more time than expected as a rookie.
It's pretty easy to get caught up with, Loveland and Kmet as they are the, the top two tight ends for the Bears and have a lot to bring to the table.
But let's not forget about Roush and what he can do for the Bears in twenty twenty-six, as Williams said.
