Mike, what do you think of this addition for Utah?

First of all, do you think it was an overpay by them?

And, and what do you think of the return for the Flames, who are very clearly the sellers here?

The benefit of having draft capital is using it.

Now, whether you use it to make trades or you use it to draft players, that's up to the general manager.

you look at the defense of the Utah Mammoth, and you have Sergachev as your top defenseman.

I think Wieger probably slots in as your number two.

And then it really sort of drops off.

He has a lot of aging veterans like Marino and, and Nate Schmidt and, and, and Cole.

I mean, it, it's not a particularly deep defense, so I understand the motivation of Bill Armstrong to go out there and add Wieger, who's still a, a really good defenseman.

I, I think he's 32 years old and making six and a quarter million.

So that's not He's not too old, and he's not making too much.

but I think the return for Calgary is fantastic.

I mean, three second-round picks in a deep draft, that's, that's great, and they're all, you know, Ottawa is probably missing the playoffs.

The Rangers will, that'd be a pick basic- almost like a first-round pick 'cause they're gonna be at the top of the draft.

And U- you know, Utah, if they make the playoffs, great.

If they don't, it's pick in the middle.

But Castagna might be the, the sort of secret here.

you know, he's leading Cornell.

He's a junior.

He's leading Cornell with 32 points.

He's a big kid, 6'2", 200 pounds.

You know, that might be somebody who's a pretty good prospect, and, you know, after another year, maybe he steps right into the NA- into, into the NHL.

So I think a pretty good return for the Flames.
