Cal's Unpredictable 2026 Football Season

2026 figures to be the most unpredictable season for Cal that I've been associated with in the last decade, at least, perhaps longer than that.
They have a new head coach who's never been a head coach before.
They have uh two coordinators who have never been coordinators before and are both quite young.
Uh, a large part of their personnel will be, uh, transfers who transferred in over the past season.
Uh, don't know exactly what the Uh, depth chart will look like.
In fact, we don't know at all what the depth chart will look like beyond Sanggapolielli, counting on Sanggapolielli to uh improve on his very good freshman season.
That's no certainty.
Sometimes sophomore seasons are particularly difficult, especially for quarterbacks.
The other positions are all new.
The skill positions, we sort of have a clue as to who they'll be, but Ian Strong, Chase Hendrix looks like the starting wide receivers, or two of the starting wide receivers.
Don't know how they'll fit into uh Jordan Somerville's offensive scheme.
So there's so many unanswered questions.
There's promise, there's possibilities, but there's just too many questions to figure out exactly where they might, might stand by the end of the season.
