Let's continue talking about Canada because they were so They are one of the host countries and they showed out.
Yeah.
Jonathan David- Yeah is the first hat-trick on home since Geoff Hurst in England in 1966.
Wow.
And I know that was pretty special to these Canadian fans.
I mean, I could see it through the TV.
They were going crazy.
It was a sea of red in the stadium moving up and down.
Yep.
Everybody was going crazy, and I think that's one of the highlights of the World Cup.
We love seeing people who are so passionate for their country.
This is the gift that these players are able to give to them, people who are spending their hard-earned money.
A lot of money.
A lot of money.
But as predicted, the prices are crashing down.
Yeah.
Okay?
if you wanna get a ticket, the day of the game is your best bet.
Yeah.
I've seen some great deals from thousands of dollars, they're around $700, which is still a fortune and out of- Yeah pocket.
I wanna read this, this quote from the coach from Canada.
"We wanted to play a brand of football that would electrify the crowd."
And they did.
"We wanted to showcase the talent, the mentality.
There are going to be 40 million Canadians who claim they were in the stadium today.
These 45,000 were lucky, and what a performance they saw."
Yeah.
Canada showing out, my friends.
And now we have Mexico, Estados Unidos, and Canada sending a message to the world that we are here to compete and not just to greet.
We came here.
Yeah.
And that actually reminds me of something else I wanna touch on for today.
Begging the question, has the gap between European teams and the rest of the world, has it begun to shrunk?

Without a doubt, right?
Yes.
I mean, let's take a look at some of the results that we've seen.
Morocco tying, Japan drawing, drawing with the Netherlands.
Mm-hmm.
Saudi Arabia against Mexico also getting the tie.
Egypt drawing with Belgium, and of course Congo drawing with Japan.
The Spain game, how could we forget?
0-0.
Yep.

Yeah, of course.
How have I not been Of course.
The thing I wanna talk about is that, you know, taking it back 10 years- Yeah these results would've been like, "Oh my God, what is going on?"
But these results aren't that shocking anymore, right?
And if you're, you know, Spain or one of these European countries- Worried you're getting worried, right?
You're like, "Wait, we were sitting comfortably."
But I think this is an interesting topic that I've seen a lot of people talking about online, that this gap is kind of shrinking, and what does that mean?
I'm gonna counter you right there because- Okay we still are seeing- Yeah Germany- Yeah Japan play.
I'm gonna throw in the mix Spain.
We've seen Norway.
Definitely.
Holland looking like a beast.
So we have three European teams that for me show that there may be a shoulder Yeah, but you also have to take in count the other teams that are s- Argentina, for example.
Argentina, yeah.
Argentina was al-ready in that tier.
Was always up there.
Yeah, but they- So I'm talking about, like, the teams- Yeah that were in the middle.
Yeah.
Are they really competing on the same level that we've seen so far?
Yeah.
I mean, I think we're starting to see a glimmer of that they are.
Mm-hmm.
And I think the rest of the tournament is definitely gonna give us better insight, but I think why these, you know, teams that wouldn't normally compete as well are doing well is because we're all getting trained the same way, right?
A lot of these players from Japan, Morocco, Colombia, they are playing at the highest level.
They're learning that- At the highest level at the highest level.
They're learning that style of play, and then being able to do so for their home country.
