Pete DeBoer is actually the number 10 on the Hockey News rankings for coaches among all 32 NHL teams.
So we've got DeBoer at number 10, that is leading up to Spencer Carbery at number nine, Rick Tocchet at number eight, and Marty St. Louis at number seven.
So looking at these rankings as we continue to roll those out here for the Hockey News, Mike, do you agree with those rankings?
And is there anyone from that group that you could see rising or falling in the rankings after this season?
I'm a little surprised that DeBoer is 10, not because he's not a great coach, but because he just took over with the Islanders and didn't do much with them.
I mean, if you're basing his ranking on what he did with Dallas, okay.
But remember, he didn't get as, get to a Stanley Cup Final, and his departure from the Stars was checkered, and, and that's to be kind.
Of the f- of the four that you ranked, I think the one that fits perfectly is St. Louis because he's done a fantastic job in Montreal, and nobody really expected that being a former player and, you know, he was coaching bantam, but when he, when he, when he came into the, to the Canadiens.
But he's grown with a young team, and he did a fantastic job getting that young team to an Eastern Conference Final.
So of the four, the one I agree with the most is St. Louis at seven, and the one I agree with least is DeBoer at 10.
