Can The Canadiens Succeed Where The Maple Leafs Failed?
The Montreal Canadiens are on the verge of making it to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs just four and a half years after the new administration was brought in, twice as fast as it took the Toronto Maple Leafs, a good sign for the Habs.

Yeah, it's, it's great to see and I'm very impressed by honestly each of those ones, Ryan.
And, you know, when you look at a team that has Stanley Cup aspirations, like, th- there's a few things you need.
You know, one of them is, like, a number one pivot down the middle, and I think Suzuki is probably gonna win the Selke this year as the top defensive forward.
Mm-hmm.
You know, definitely has put him in the echelon of one of the best centers in the NHL.
another thing you need is a strong defenseman, a number one defenseman, and I think Hudson is now in that category of okay, he's, you know, arguably the Habs best defenseman, you know, easily since P.K.
Subban, probably even better version of P.K.
Subban when you look at what his career is gonna look like.
And, another thing you need is a game changer who can score a goal when the game is tied and, you know, obviously, you know, we've seen that in spades from Cole Caufield.
So I guess the only question from Montreal fans is do you also have that number one Vezina-worthy goaltender?
And we'll see if it's, you know, if, if it's gonna be a, a Jakub Dobes, if it's gonna be a Jacob Fowler or, you know, I don't think it's gonna be a Sammy Montembeault.
But, you know, to have three of the four already in place, you know, gives you great, you know, reason to think that the Habs are on a great trajectory right now.
