You know, when you think about the CBC, what comes to mind, and how important has it been to your kinda hockey watching over the years?
Yeah, I hate this.
I think it's terrible, for Canadian hockey fans because, you know, we're in an era of cord cutting and like streaming is everywhere and you gotta go to a bunch of different places to watch whatever sports you like to watch.
With CBC carrying hockey, even if you just still had like rabbit ears for your TV, you could watch NHL hockey every week.
Right.
And for a country that is obsessed with the sport, I think that was so crucial just to, you know, the fabric of the culture up here.
And not everybody has Sportsnet.
A lot of people don't have Sportsnet and, you know, maybe they don't wanna pay for it, and that's really too bad.
And I, I think that, you know, maybe it's like an, it's an old legacy thing and, you know, like I said, like sports is very fractured now, but there was just something nice knowing that anybody in the country could watch the NHL at least once a week.
And you know, like CBC carries PWHL now as well.
They usually show it on Saturday afternoons.
Same deal.
If you wanna watch women's hockey at the pro level, you don't have to have any kind of like fancy cable package.
Like you could watch it at least once a week, and I think that was a good thing.
I think it was a nice utility, and it's too bad that it's gone.

I- You know, that's something I take for granted is like you watch The National which is the national news by the, you know, public broadcasting company in Canada, and after that, like the hockey game would come on.
And you know, you didn't have to be a sports fan, even a hockey fan, but you were gonna get hockey on a Saturday night because that's what you got as a Canadian
