Canucks Select Brooks Rogowski 33rd Overall At The 2026 NHL Entry Draft
The Canucks have officially selected Brooks Rogowski with the 33rd pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

Chase Reid, you know, the offense he brings from the blue line is probably the best in the draft class.
He had a tremendous year with the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL.
He's headed to Michigan State, where he'll play older, faster, stronger competition.
So that'll be great for him.
Then you have Carson Carls, who basically doesn't have a flaw to his game, you know?
And, you know, he's gonna be highly touted.
You have Albert Smits, who played in the Olympics for Latvia and played against men for most of the year in Finland.
And then you have even Daxon Rudolph, who, you know, might not have the same bite as some of those other guys, but he had a tremendous year for Prince Albert in the Dub.
And he has a lot of offensive capabilities as well.
Yeah.
So you can kind of toss all those guys in a blender really.
It's I, I think it's gonna come down to team preference.
And the interesting thing in the draft is, you know, does it go McKenna Stenberg or does San Jose go with one of those defensemen?
I don't think they can go wrong either way.
The last thing I would point out is, you know, this is sort of an odd year for centers.
Usually centers are the most coveted players- Yeah in the draft class.
This year it's a little bit thin up top.
Caleb Malhotra from Brantford in the OHL is- Yeah probably gonna be the first to go.
There have been rumblings of him going to Vancouver at three, 'cause, you know, Vancouver needs- Oh a center of the future.
And his dad- Dad just got hired as the coach.
Hey, Dad.
So that's It's a, it's a cute storyline.
Yeah.
I don't know if you spend your number three draft choice on a cute storyline.
it's easier- I don't know if I wanna play for my dad though.
Yeah, right.
so- Anyway we'll see, we'll see what Vancouver does.
That'll be very interesting.
Tynan Lawrence from Boston University will likely be the, the second center off the board.
he had a tough year simply because he jumped up from the USHL midway through to join the Terriers.
And, uh- He struggled a little this year generally.
It was a l- yeah, it was a lot for him.
He started the year hurt, then he dominated, then he went to the NCAA, and it was a struggle.
but the potential's certainly there to be a great two-way center.
So a- again, you know, how high does he go?
Because he is a center, you know.
With my draft rankings, I, I do it best player available.
it's not a mock draft.
Right.
So it's just sort of like if you had the choice between these two players, like who you wanna take.
Right.
So Lawrence is more in the sort of like- Right top 10 range rather than top five.
Yeah.
but we will, we will find out very soon in Buffalo- Yeah how it all goes down.
