Carlos Mendoza comments on Jack Wenninger's outing, Mike Tauchman's power display

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza observed that pitching prospect Jack Wenninger's splitter "came as advertised" using it to strike out three batters over two innings. Mendoza was also impressed with veteran OF Mike Tauchman 's three-run homer in the first inning, citing his ability to control the strike zone.
