Carlos Mendoza, David Peterson and Luis Torrens discuss Peterson's inconsistency, A.J. Minter talks Mets return

Mets lefty David Peterson hasn't been able to put together consistent outings all year long and he took a big step backward in a 7-2 loss to the Reds. Peterson was hit hard, surrendering 11 hits and six earned runs. Manager Carlos Mendoza and catcher Luis Torrens also offered their takes on Peterson's ineffectiveness. One pitcher who's happy to be back on a big league mound at all is reliever A.J. Minter , who saw his first action in 13 months, after a serious lat injury.
