This Chiefs Trade To Add Draft Capital Makes A Lot Of Sense
The Kansas City Chiefs have an unsettled situation in their secondary, and they're badly in need of draft capital. Slot corner Trent McDuffie has been widely mentioned as a potential trade candidate, and Bill Barnwell of ESPN came up with a trade possibility that could make a lot of sense for both prospective teams.

Well, contract's over, and everybody says he's gone or is leaving.
Obviously, he's, he is actually interviewing for several of the head coaching jobs that are out there.
Right.
but I don't know.
What is your thoughts on if, if Matt's gone, which I do believe he is gone, but like I said, you can't hold me to that, 'cause I don't know for sure.
Who would you like to see Kansas City bring in?
Would it be somebody from Andy's tree, or would you be interested in seeing somebody from the outside?
honestly, I don't- I'm, I'm not sure.
Bieniemy would be nice to see him come back.
I don't know if that's even a possibility or if he's- they've talked to him.
I think somebody that would work well with Andy is always a good thing.
Not that And- I mean, Andy would be a great mentor for anybody that's coming in to be a- Right ... OC for any team.
But yeah, I mean, I'm not With all the stuff with Alex Smith saying that he won't- he's not gonna do it, but- ... that would be cool to see somebody like that come in and- Listen, if, if, we could get Alex Smith into the coaching thing as our quarterbacks coach, can you imagine how amazing that would be?

Kliff Kingsbury, I believe, has, is not in Andy's tree.
He is a name that has been thrown around.
he- I think he was with Cleveland, either as the head coach or the, the offensive coordinator.
I'm not 100% sure.
but he's a name that's been bounced around because he worked with Pat when he was at Texas Tech, so there's, there's a connection there, but it's outside of Andy's tree.
Mm-hmm.
Of course, there's always, and there always will be the talk of Eric Bieniemy coming back, which I'm all in favor for.
It's not that Eric is the guy calling the plays.
I mean, Matt Nagy's not calling the plays either.
Right.
But bringing Bieniemy back in actually widens the imagination of Andy Reid, I think, and the play calling and, and the, play making, the setting up, the designs of the plays and stuff.
I think those two work really good, you know, behind the office door of building really great plays.
And you've seen it.
You've seen it those years that Bieniemy was there.
You had some really cool plays, but since Nagy's been there, there's just no imagination.
It's like we're trying to run up the middle, or we're gonna do a jet sweep, or, "Well, we'll just throw the ball."
