Coach: Ruffy-Silva Feud Not First 'Internal Disagreement' at Fighting Nerds

Fighting Nerds coach Flavio Álvaro addressed the public rift between teammates Jean Silva and Mauricio Ruffy after returning to São Paulo, clarifying training context and recent remarks. Álvaro, a jiu-jitsu black belt, said Mauricio Ruffy had been absent from grappling at The Fighting Nerds and was not offended by a Volkanovski-inspired comment, while praising Ruffy's striking and reaffirming support for Jean Silva. He described the gym as a cluster of families, cited Caio Borralho and Master Pardal, and noted Jean and Ruffy have not trained together for a long time. Álvaro said the dispute grew after it leaked, managed under Pablo Sucupira, and outlined possible opponents including Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez.
