Can the Commanders get back to a high scoring offense this year?

Jayden Daniels just gave Washington Commanders fans an important look at what the offense could become under new offensive coordinator David Blough in 2026.

Video Transcript

The Commanders had 20.9 points per game last year.

That's not great.

The Rams were first in the league with 30.5 points per game.

Washington was 22nd.

We don't like that.

I don't expect that from David Blough this year.

In 2024, Jayden Daniels' first year, the Commanders had 28.5 points per g- per game.

The Lions were first in the league that year with 33.2 points per game, Washington was fifth.

Realistically, this year they split the difference and hover around the top ten, which we should all be okay with.

That is the realistic outcome.

That is not the ceiling, but if we're looking from year to year, some of the roster turnover, if this team is hovering from eight to twelve, splits the difference, we're looking at a very potent offense.

We want them to get near that 28 number again.

Four touchdowns a game, three touchdowns, a couple field goals, that's great.

Just keep the scoring coming.

The ceiling is getting back into the top five
