Could Former Division Rival Be 'Perfect' Trade Fit For Seattle Mariners?

No question about it.
I, I think, for example, you know, a week ago, the Royals' playoff chances were at 15%.
They go one and five, and all of a sudden, their playoff chances are down to 1%.
So they're defining themselves in the marketplace.
You know, we thought two, three weeks ago, the Tigers are showing signs of coming back, and even in recent days, they've been beating the Yankees, and maybe they hang in there.
But they had kinda drifted backward.
The Orioles are kinda drifting backward.
I actually think when you look at, you know, potentially what's out there in the marketplace, there's a pot- a, a, a possible interesting fit there with the Orioles for the Mariners, and that's Taylor Ward.
A right-handed hitting outfielder who gets on base.
He could be absolutely slot in as their leadoff hitter.
a- and I don't think the Orioles are close to being sellers yet, but they are trending in the wrong direction.
Ward is a free agent at year's end.
He would be a perfect fit, in my opinion, for what would help the Mariners.
I like the sound of that.
That is for sure.
And the Mariners have had Look, they've had some trouble, right?
Victor Robles and Rob Refsnyder, the platoon, has not played particularly well.
No.
So they do need a right-handed bat.
A- and Brady, can I just jump in right there?
I do think that Rob Refsnyder probably has about two or three weeks before they just say, "You know what?
It's not working."
You know, they, they had great hopes when they, they got him.
I mentioned to you last week that at some point, especially with a player who's on a short-term deal, the Mariners were gonna, you know, hope that it works out, and if it doesn't, they will make an adjustment.
Because it's clear, you know, that this is a spot where they can be helped.
And they put him on the injured list the other day, so we'll kinda see where things materialize when he comes back- Yep and how he is, et cetera.
So I, I agree with you.
I think Rob Refsnyder is on kind of the, the last chances here.
