The Brown County District Attorney's Office is not yet prepared to make formal charges against Packers running back Josh Jacobs in relation to his domestic abuse arrest.
Jacobs was arrested on Tuesday and booked for domestic violence.
Jacobs' lawyers immediately put out a statement denying all of the accusations.
Kyle, it's not always fun to talk about the fantasy ramifications, the fantasy fallout of these very serious, situations.
If, Jacobs were to not be on the Packers roster in the coming weeks or months, they would take a $6.25 million dead cap hit.
who would be up next, I guess, in this Green Bay backfield?
As it stands right now, and we'll get to why I don't think things will stand the way they are, it would be some combination of Marshawn Lloyd, since being drafted two years ago, has six career carries, has been completely unable to stay healthy, and Chris Brooks, who's a practice squad plus 53-man roster fringe type of player.
To me, the fact that they have a player with six career carries and a player who's roughly a practice squad caliber player means this will be a team, whether or not Jacobs is on the roster, that is almost certainly searching for a free agent.
I think the top of mind comes to me as Najee Harris, who while not particularly explosive or efficient, has shown throughout his career to be able to handle a bunch of touches.
I think he makes the perfect sense as a camp body and a potential replacement to Josh Jacobs, whether it be for the season or even just for a few games.
Yeah, I mean, there are a lot of steps to go here.
The NFL will likely investigate.
