The Cowboys Have Multiple Rookies Making SERIOUS Noise...
The Dallas Cowboys have several rookies making serious noise after their first preseason game, and a few of them could be forcing their way into much bigger roles than expected heading into the 2026 NFL season.

Michael Trigg went out there on the preseason opener and looked like a better player than Luke Schoonmaker.
Now, that might be a little bit unfair because he played later in the game, which means he played against, quote unquote, lesser competition.
But it seems to me that not only did he caught the football four times for 30 yards, but he blocked well.
And if you ask me what has Schoonmaker shown to be on the 53-man roster, there's not a lot I can tell you in the passing department, in the catching department, because Schoonmaker has been an inconsistent pass catcher.
He's had drops in his past that he shouldn't have had, and he has 49 catches in 51 games.
So it's not like he has his drops, but he still provides a lot of production.
He doesn't provide a lot of production.
But he can block.
Now, he's not Brendan Spandeford, who is an outstanding run blocker, but he can get the job done.
On Saturday night, Michael Trigg got the job done as a blocker.
That's not good for Schoonmaker, but it is good for Michael Trigg.
The thing about Trigg as well is that he was a big name going into the draft process.
He was projected by many to be a fourth round pick or a fifth round pick, but he dropped because of off the field concerns.
But the fact that he's a known name and if he continues to have a strong preseason, if he continues to exceed the hype, is he gonna go, go unclaimed on waivers?
Not likely, I would say.
So Michael Trigg exceeding the hype.
I think right now he's on pace to make the 53-man roster
