Cowboys' Pursuit of Josh Sweat Hits High Asking Price Before Trade Deadline

The Dallas Cowboys' reported interest in Arizona Cardinals pass rusher Josh Sweat is running into a steep asking price ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline. Dallas sits at 3-5 after losing to Arizona and is allowing 26.6 points per game (sixth most in the league), and Jerry Jones has reportedly made upgrading the pass rush his top priority. Jordan Schultz reported that multiple teams are interested in Sweat, 29, who requested a trade earlier this year, but Arizona is comfortable keeping him. Jason La Canfora relayed a rival GM's view that Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort fears not getting enough back. Arizona is 18-41 over his four seasons running the roster.
