Dallas Cowboys involved in behind-the-scenes off-season work here in Frisco at The Star.
Mike Fisher reporting, your trusty and trusted reporter.
We have a contract for George Pickens, but the last time we checked, he has not shown up yet for work.
It's voluntary workouts.
Meanwhile, Cowboys almost always have great attendance during, these proceedings, and that seems to be the case again.
But among those who are participating are some guys who are on, I don't know, the hot seat to some degree, certainly, in a bit of a pressure cooker.
I've got three veterans and three kids who are in that situation.
To the veterans first.
Dak Prescott makes $60 million.
He's building an incredible mansion.
He's getting his personal life in order, we all hope.
But his reputation is on the line.
That's pressure of a sort.
Dak Prescott needs to win a couple playoff games, or he will not be remembered fondly, and I'm, guess I'm talking about a couple playoff games over the course of one season.
Offensive tackle Terence Steele, they rave about his professionalism.
They paid him like he was going to be, that kind of a player, a borderline special player.
He's still professional, but he hasn't been very good relative to where he was a couple years ago.
There's some pressure there.
And then Fergie, Big Biscuit, the tight end, they pay him like he's special, and the last time we looked at him, he kinda looked like he was a three yards and a cloud of dust tight end, and that just won't do.
How about the kids under pressure?
Jaden Blue, the second-year running back from the University of Texas, they anticipate that he can be a running mate with Javonte Williams.
They t- tell me about thunder and lightning.
We have yet to see it.
The cornerback, Siobhan Rebel, last year battled through the injury, got on the field at the end of the year, and looked a little bit of a stumble bunny.
Good guy, smart guy, big body, but we haven't seen it yet.
And then another offensive tackle, Tyler Guyton.
First thing he did when he got drafted here is he rented an apartment right across the street from The Star.
That showed a level of devotion.
He keeps trying, but the payoff hasn't come yet.
Cowboys under pressure, young and old.
There's your three and three.
